Pillar 02

Citability.

Once an engine can read you, will it pick you as the answer?

Citability is what separates pages that get crawled from pages that get cited. It's the editorial layer — clear declarative answers in the first 40-60 words of every page, scannable structure with strong headings, original data points the engine can attribute, named entities the knowledge graph already recognizes, and authoritative sourcing.

Why it matters

AI engines extract the first 1-2 sentences of a page to decide if it answers the query. A vague context-setting opener gets skipped for a competitor that leads with a direct answer. Citability is the difference between being indexed and being quoted.
